Sponsor a Student Program
The Sponsor a Student Program offers the opportunity for students to receive a sponsor who is an active MPI Georgia member, as a resource to them within the industry, who will also pay for their MPI Georgia student membership for one year. Whether you are a student looking to take the first step in becoming more involved in the industry or an established professional looking to give back, the Sponsor a Student Program offers something for everyone. News: Local Hospitality Students Participate in Seminar from which Proceeds Support Community Service
MPI Georgia supporter, Mark Newton, Ed.D., Program Director for the Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management Program at Gwinnett Technical College recently held the third annual Explore Gwinnett Social Media Seminar. The program emphasized how Pinterest, InstaGram, LinkedIn, QR codes, mobile marketing, and Facebook Events can increase sales. Dr. Newton used extensive handouts while students demonstrated the tools for the class. The seminar registration money that was earned was allocated to the Sugarloaf YMCA to specifically help many Gwinnett Tech students learn to swim.
