Student membership is available to those individuals enrolled in a post-secondary academic program with emphasis in the meeting, hospitality, events, and tourism-related industries leading to qualification as a regular member. The student must be enrolled in either a certificate, undergraduate or graduate program unless the academic institution defines it otherwise. Student Membership Brochure
Students enrolled in a certificate program* will be eligible for student membership for one year but will not be eligible for the transition dues rate upon completion of their program. Proof of enrollment must be received at MPI before a student can be accepted into membership and upon renewal in order to retain their student membership.

With an MPI Student Membership, not only are you an active MPI member but this also allows you membership with the local MPI chapter - MPI Georgia. As a member of MPI you have access to nearly 20,000 industry professionals to help you gain knowledge and guide you through your career development.
The Top 5 Reasons for Students to Join MPI include…
Specialized Job Opportunities - Being a member of MPI allows you to access the MPI jobs board and also the MPI Georgia Career Center, both with industry-specific opportunities including internships, available.
Committee Involvement - The Student Recruitment Committee is looking for some new members, both students and professionals. "I attended my first MPI Georgia luncheon as a guest in 2011 where I was blown away by the great venue, friendly members and staff, and the wealth of knowledge I took away from that meeting. The ability to network and learn at these events as a student member is great! Hospitality professionals always say "it's not what you know, but who you know" that will get you job. I firmly believe in this philosophy and the power it has in achieving employment in today's economy.
"This organization allows students to develop their knowledge of the industry through luncheons and workshops, increase their industry professionals network, and make long-lasting relationships. The benefits of joining MPI Georgia are outstanding and greatly outweigh the nominal student rate of $40. MPI Georgia will help define you, the student, as a future meeting professional."
